Introduction: The Path to an Unbreakable Mindset

Life is hard—but it’s even harder with a weak mind. If you’re reading this, it means you’re ready to make a change. Maybe you’ve been thinking about it for a while. Maybe you’ve even tried before, only to fall back into old habits.

The truth is, without a solid foundation of core values, you’re fishing without bait—drifting, hoping, but never truly in control. These five core values have allowed me to conquer every challenge life has thrown my way—not just surviving, but thriving with a smile on my face and zero regrets.

Time is your most valuable asset, and every moment wasted is one you’ll never get back. Stop making excuses. Stop living with regret. It’s time to shut up, step up, and take full control of your life. No more waiting—your future starts NOW.

5 Ways

With that said, here are 5 ways to become as disciplined as a U.S. Army Ranger.

1. The Alarm is Your First Test of the Day—Don’t Snooze, Conquer It

If you snooze, you lose—plain and simple. Your alarm clock is your first test of discipline each day, and how you respond sets the tone for everything that follows.

When you set that alarm the night before, you made a commitment to yourself. You had goals, intentions, and a plan. But when that alarm finally goes off, suddenly, your warm bed feels like the best place in the world. This is the moment that separates the disciplined from the undisciplined.

No matter how tired or comfortable you feel, get up. This is non-negotiable. Winning the morning starts by proving to yourself that you can follow through—even when you don’t feel like it. Master this small battle, and you’ll build the mindset to dominate your entire day.

🔥 Pro Tip: If you struggle to get up, put your phone or alarm clock on the other side of the room. This forces you to physically get out of bed to turn it off. Once you're up, stay up—no excuses.

Adopt the Ranger Mindset. Discipline starts the moment your alarm goes off. Get up, get moving, and start the day like a warrior, not a snoozer.

2. Make Your Bed – Build Momentum for the Day

After conquering your alarm, the next task is simple: make your bed.

It may seem like a small, insignificant action, but success is built on mastering the little things. If you can’t handle the small tasks with discipline, how can you expect to tackle the big ones?

By making your bed first thing in the morning, you’re immediately stacking another win. You started strong by getting up when you said you would, and now, you’re reinforcing that momentum. This small act sets the tone for the rest of your day—a day of discipline, structure, and success.

Remember: how you do one thing is how you do everything. Start with discipline, build momentum, and set yourself up to win the day.

3. Non-Negotiable: 1-Hour Workout Daily + 3 Cardio Sessions Per Week

This isn’t optional. No excuses. No skipping. No quitting.

Every single day, you owe yourself at least one hour of training—whether it’s lifting, running, or pushing your body to new limits. On top of that, commit to three dedicated cardio sessions per week. These aren’t just about physical fitness; they are about building unshakable mental toughness.

Discipline is forged in discomfort. Nothing strengthens your mind more than lacing up your shoes and hitting the pavement when you don’t want to. The days you feel tired, unmotivated, or weak are the days that truly count. Those are the moments that separate the committed from the average.

Success comes from doing what others won’t. Train hard. Push through resistance. Prove to yourself daily that quitting is never an option.

4. Fuel Your Body with Discipline – Track Everything, No Alcohol

Your body is your engine, and what you put into it determines how well it performs. If you can’t control what you eat, how can you expect to control anything else in life?

Tracking your food isn’t about vanity—it’s about optimization. Know exactly what’s going into your body so you can fuel it for peak performance. Every meal is a decision: Are you building strength, endurance, and mental clarity? Or are you feeding weakness, fatigue, and complacency?

And let’s be clear—no alcohol. It clouds your mind, slows your progress, and weakens your discipline. If you can’t say no to something as simple as a drink, how will you ever stand strong when real-life challenges demand your discipline?

Master your nutrition. Master yourself. Because the way you treat your body is a direct reflection of the way you approach everything else in life.

5. Eliminate These Three Words: Quit, Try, Maybe

Your words shape your mindset. If you want to build an unbreakable mentality, start by removing three weak words from your vocabulary:

QuitQuitting is never an option. Once you commit to a goal, you follow through—no matter what. Challenges will come, obstacles will test you, but quitting is a choice you never make.

TryTrying is just failing with permission. When you say, “I’ll try,” you’ve already left room for failure. Either do it or don’t. Commit fully or walk away, but never approach anything with a half-hearted mindset.

MaybeIndecision is weakness. You’re either in or out, moving forward or standing still. "Maybe" keeps you stuck in hesitation instead of taking action and making things happen.

Your words reflect your mindset. Speak with certainty, act with conviction, and eliminate anything that gives room for doubt. Winners don’t quit. Winners don’t try. Winners don’t say maybe. Winners just get it done.

YOU HAVE THE CHOICE TO MAKE BETTER DECISIONS BUT NOT THE DISCIPLINE TO MAKE IT HAPPEN. IT'S TIME TO CHANGE!

After a very successful career as a Sergeant in the Army, I attended Arizona State University and received both my BS in Business Entrepreneurship and my masters in Real Estate Development. In college I operated a healthy vending machine company with 15 locations and ran door to door sales teams every summer. After graduating in 2019, I took my savings and began buying and renovating cabins in the great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee! In 3 years, I was able to cash flow and sell these properties for over 7 figures.
